Collection of personal information
Personal information is defined under the privacy laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago as identifiable information about an individual. The Ministry of Works and Transport does not collect personal information about its visitors to or users on this website unless you choose to provide such information as necessary for the effective performance and delivery of the Ministry’s services and functions. Personal information is used only for the purpose of which it was given and is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes. The Ministry may provide you with access to online Government Services through this website. The Ministry may record and store personal information which you have provided and, in such circumstances, the Ministry will take all reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure and prevent unauthorized disclosure. The internet is not a secure medium, therefore, the Ministry neither promises nor will guarantee that your personal information cannot be accessed by unauthorised persons such as hackers or that unauthorised disclosures will not occur.
By accessing the Ministry’s website, you agree to allow us to automatically collect the following information about you:

- Your top level domain name (.com, .net, .gov etc.);
- Your Internet browser type;
- The date and time of your visit to the Ministry’s website;
- The pages you viewed and time spent on each;
- Documents downloaded; and

The Ministry will use the data collected for statistical analysis to determine how users are interacting with the content and generally, the website. The Ministry reserves the right at any time and from time to time to change, modify, substitute, suspend temporarily or permanently, or remove without notice any features on the website (or any part thereof), or materials and information accessed through the Ministry’s website with or without notice. Access to the Ministry’s website and/or its services may also be occasionally restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new information or services. Restoration of such access will be provided as soon as is reasonably possible.
